Who We Are >> Cheryl Reilly, M.A., M.S.

Growing up outside of Washington D.C., Ms. Reilly moved to West Virginia to complete a degree in Business and Psychology at Shepherd University. After determining that she wanted to work in the public school sector, Ms. Reilly went back to school to receive her Master of Arts Degree from West Virginia University in Communication Studies. From there, she worked for Berkeley County Schools in West Virginia in the area of speech therapy. It was there that she had her first experiences with the special education population of PreK-12 children who had speech delays, language delays and stuttering. That experience was so rewarding and positive that she decided to go into the classroom to work directly with students. Again going back to school herself, she received her Master of Science Degree from Shenandoah University, specializing in middle school education with certifications in English/Reading and Social Studies. In the past 7 years of teaching, Ms. Reilly strives to continue to bring in new ideas and lessons into her classroom to meet the needs of all students, including those with disabilities. Co-Teaching is a new and exciting concept that she found has helped to maintain and enhance differentiated instruction so that all students can learn, have fun and experience a positive education. She and her current co-teacher have received accolades for their model collaboration by national co-teaching experts. Ms. Reilly is able to bring her own experiences as a secondary general educator as she works with schools, training them on the CTSS to better enhance their own co-teaching experiences.
